We hope you can join us for our 28th dance season!
STUDIO IS OPEN FOR REGISTRATION & DANCE SUPPLY ORDERS:
Tues-Wed-Thurs: August 2-18 4:00-7:00pm
(You can also submit registration forms by email or mail at any time.)
Please have all required dance supplies for your first class!
FALL CLASSES BEGIN: Monday, August 22nd
STUDIO HOLIDAYS: 1 Week for Thanksgiving (Nov 21-25)
2 Weeks for Christmas Break (Dec 22-Jan 6) Classes resume Jan 9th!
1 Week for Spring Break (March 20-24)
Also: Labor Day (Mon Sept 5th) AND Memorial Day (Mon, May 29th)
RECITAL DATES: Rehearsal on June 2nd and Recital on June 3rd
TUITION RATES: All classes are $40/month.
HOW TO REGISTER:
1. Fill in the Registration Form, read the Guidelines Form (both on our website) and sign both pages. Download and email both to Laurie@LCDanceArts.com. The Registration fee can be paid on this website also. $25/family before August 1st / $35 beginning August 1st
OR
2. Print and sign the Registration Form AND Guidelines Form (both on our website) and mail them to the studio 1197 SW Grandview St. Lake City, FL 32025. Registration fee can be paid on this website or you can mail a check with your forms to the studio. $25/family before August 1st / $35 beginning August 1st
DRESS CODE: (WE REQUIRE THAT YOU PURCHASE DANCE SHOES FROM LCDA)
3, 4, 5 yr olds & Kindergarten students: Plain leotard in any color, NO skirt, pink tights, LCDA pink ballet shoes & LCDA black tap shoes (not 3 yr olds). Hair pulled back from face, NO jewelry
Ballet & Pointe students: Solid color leotard of your choice, ballet pink tights, LCDA ballet shoes. Hair in bun. Black dance shorts or skirts are an option for middle and high school students. No jewelry.
Tap & Jazz students: Solid color leotard of your choice, tan tights, LCDA tan tap and tan jazz shoes. Hair pulled back from face and off neck. Black dance shorts or leggings are an option. No jewelry. Tight fitting shirts are an option with teacher approval.
Modern students: Solid color leotard of your choice, tan or ballet pink convertible tights, no shoes. Tight fitting shirts are an option with teacher approval.
Hip Hop students: (ALL) Black leggings, socks, LCDA Hip Hop shoes. Hair pulled back from face and off neck. NO jewelry.
Elementary students: Solid PURPLE T-shirt
Middle School students: Solid BLUE T-shirt
High School/College: Your choice shirt that is appropriate.
Praise in Motion: PIM T-shirt, solid black leggings, Tan LCDA Jazz shoes, hair pulled back from face and off neck, No jewelry. Bring your Bible.
LOBBY RULES:
We will continue with our policy of the lobby being closed except for students. We found this made it so much easier to supervise the students as they enter and exit. It also keeps the lobby free for class changes. This year we encourage everyone to think of the dance studio as a place for learning and not socializing. The students need to be focused on getting ready for class and not be distracted by phones and conversations with parents. Parents are welcome to come in for information or make payments but please be patient and be aware of class change times when the lobby is full of children. Payments (Check or cash) can be sent to the studio with your child and a receipt will be sent home in their dance bag. Credit card payments can be made on the website.
CELL PHONES: STUDENTS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO USE CELL PHONES AFTER ARRIVING FOR CLASS. This helps them focus on the task at hand which is learning how to dance. Students need to arrive with enough time to change shoes, re-focus and be ready to listen and learn. Parents, please do not expect students to answer cell phones during class time. You can contact LCDA for emergencies.
