WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT AT LAKE CITY DANCE ARTS?
Lake City Dance Arts offers various kinds of dance for ages 3 through adult. We take dance training seriously while providing an atmosphere that makes learning fun. Dance is an activity that provides many benefits, physically as well as emotionally, for your child. Dance is a disciplined art. You and your child should decide together if you will be able to commit to this activity.
Our classes begin one week after public schools start and continue through May with a recital presented in June to let the students share what they have learned over the nine-month training period. We have beginners of all ages. We try to group new dancers by age so that older dancers are not in younger classes.
Our students have participated in many community events since our opening 22 years ago. Most recent activities include March of Dimes, Christmas & Easter at the Mall, The Christian Service Center Sock Hop, Dance Alive’s Nutcracker and more. We dedicate our annual Friday night recital performance as a charity event which has benefited The PNH Research Foundation, Juvenile Diabetes Research, Hospice’s Camp Safe Haven and most recently The United Methodist Children’s Home. Our Christian ballet company “Praise in Motion”, under the direction of Lisa Harris-Browning, has performed in several churches and community events.
